Some rooms get used for a few minutes a day. A sunroom tends to become the room everyone ends up in. Screenbuilders designs and builds custom sunrooms for Storm Lake homeowners who want a bright, open space that connects the inside of the house to the yard, the neighborhood, or the lake beyond.
We build sunrooms for homes throughout Storm Lake, including neighborhoods along Lakeshore Drive, near Chautauqua Park, and across the north and west sides of town. Our crews also serve nearby communities including Rembrandt, Truesdale, Marathon, Schaller, and Early.
We want you to know exactly what you’re getting. Here’s a look at the materials behind our rooms:
Aluminum framing: Framing extrusions are made from aluminum alloy and come in 2-inch, 3-inch, or 3-inch thermally broken options, depending on the room style.
Insulated wall panels: Wall panels feature an expanded polystyrene core.
Insulated roof panels: Roof panels are made from rigid insulating foam laminated with a low-maintenance aluminum skin.
Vinyl-framed windows: All-season rooms use low-maintenance vinyl-framed windows with high-performance glass options.
Because we manufacture key components in-house in Iowa, we can build each room to fit your home rather than forcing your home to fit a standard kit.
Built with high-quality materials for durability and long-term performance
Every sunroom is tailored to match your home’s architecture and your personal style
We ensure your new sunroom feels like a natural extension of your home
From consultation to completion, we handle everything

Simply the best and most thorough company around. Careful and detailed. Had them put on a sunroom, replace windows and modify a deck. Pleased each time!
Have an idea for your sunroom? Let’s sketch it out together during a free estimate.
Before your estimate, it helps to think through a few questions:
When will you use it most? Year-round use points toward an all-season room. Mostly warm-weather use may point toward a three-season room.
How will you use it? A dining room, office, playroom, and plant room all have different needs for space, light, and outlets.
What’s there now? An existing patio, deck, or bare yard will affect foundation and footing plans.
How much sun does the spot get? Morning sun and afternoon sun feel very different, especially in summer.
Do you want ceiling fans? Planning for fans early makes installation easier, especially with certain roof styles.
Don’t have all the answers yet? That’s okay. Our team will help you work through them.
Yes. Sunrooms can be designed to connect to different parts of your home, including the kitchen, living room, bedroom, or back entry. We’ll help you choose the location that best fits how you want to use the room.
Our framing extrusions are made from 6063-T5 aluminum alloy in 2-inch, 3-inch, or 3-inch thermally broken sizes. All-season rooms use the 3-inch thermally broken framing for better insulation.
An all-season sunroom has double-pane insulated glass and insulated walls, making heating and cooling more efficient. A three-season sunroom uses single-pane glass or sliding vinyl panels with less wall insulation, so it’s best for spring, summer, and fall.
Our roof panels are made of rigid insulating foam laminated with a low-maintenance aluminum skin.
Because sunrooms are made largely of aluminum and glass, a separate heat source and controls are recommended for comfortable temperature and humidity. We’ll talk through options during your estimate.
